Lake Louisa State Park Campground

Stayed just one night on March.  Great tent sites and mostly private. Facilities are clean with showers. Water and power at the site. Beautiful walks and lakes, Lots of birds and rabbits.

Only issue was the early morning traffic on the nearby highway (#27) was noisy.

This is a great location to get away from everything, without going far. It has nice, spread out spots, and plenty of activities if you are outdoorsy.

• no wlan and good mobil connection

• restrooms and laundry are o.k.

• rangers are super and nice

• playground and a small beach to put your feet into water.

Perhaps the nicest park we've stayed at.  We arrived after dark in the midst of a torrential 3-inch downpour, but the next morning there was no mud or standing water.  Amazing!  Shower facilities are recently remodeled and impeccable, with new wall tiles and epoxy floors throughout.  Laundry machines take coin or credit card.  They have plastic bag dispensers for dog cleanup.  Such features make Lake Louisa particularly suitable for an extended stay.  All the RV lots in our loop were L-shaped pads with an extension for the picnic table.  Sites are spacious and open.  Nice mix of back-in and pull-through sites.  Lots of paved roads outside the campsite loops for biking.

These campsites, average about $45 a night. The bathrooms are very clean and upgraded! The laundry room takes credit cards and coins! They have electric and water sites, highly recommend! 

The camping here is literally all RVS, theres zero privacy, no walkable trails you have to drive to get there. Clean bathrooms thought I will give them that.

Very clean, nice park. Super clean facilities, bathrooms, sites. Lovely park. Large hiking trail network. Lots of lakes. Saw at least one gator in the lake by campground so be careful and watch your kids & pups. Most sites have only partial shade at best and it was very hot when we were there (high 80s and into the 90s in Feb). It’s a dryer ecosystem with lower brush and trees than parks that have the big live oaks. Plan for heat. Perhaps it used to be a citrus orchard because there are wild tangerines growing on the hike around the lake. Nice place.

Lake Louisa was a great place to visit with a handful of “hidden” gems.

This is one of the best campgrounds I’ve stayed at. Very easy campsite making an easy setup. With tons of amenities to do with the family at the park.

We reserved this site so that we could be at Disney World bright & early the next day! We arrived late due to vehicle issues & I happened to call ahead and they gave me the gate code. I re-read my emails and that was noted (to call by 5pm local time if arriving late). Sites are super flat & nice picnic tables.

Booked a site for a quick overnighter to test some equipment. Summer in Florida equals season. Ranger was friendly and informative at check in. Sites are very clean and not on top of each other. Bathroom facilities were clean and great for use. Plenty of trails and on-site activities to do to enjoy the outdoors. Overall great for an overnight trip or a weekend trip to get away for a couple of days.

I love to kayak, hike and road bike here while I enjoy camping and nature! We already booked for next year.

Campsite 30 had the most beautiful sunset awesome area right in front of the dock

so many great things to say about this place, "glamping" tents are awesome, cabins, primitive and rv/tent areas, all the activities, minutes from Walmart and other stuff... some of the camp are great, some.... worse. rangers here can be a little overzealous or a bit douchy but most were super friendly and great. wish i could stay longer but, that's living.

I usually get site 12 because it's a great pull through and view of the lake across the street.  Great bike riding, hiking and swimming.  Our dogs love it as well.

This stage park has lots to offer - great trails for hiking and biking, boat launches, fishing, or just relaxing. We stayed at site #43 which has water/elec. hookup, dump station near by. All of the sites seemed level, most are quite private with a fair amount of trees/foliage in between sites, have a sizable picnic table and nice fire ring with grate. We were here in February and we had no problems with bugs. The bath house was very clean and modern, with spacious shower stalls and plenty of hot water. Just up the road from Citrus Showcase if you are looking for oranges and other goodies. A great find - We would love to go back when we can stay longer!

Large park and small campground! Beautiful and off the beaten path in Florida. Amazing sunsets and calm environment. The site for our motorhome was immaculate upon arrival, we loved the amount of space between each site. The rangers and camp hosts are very friendly. The bath houses were super clean and we loved that there was a washer and dryer located outside. We'll be returning for a longer stay in the future.

There is good fishing and the kayaking was fun. Clean facilities.

Quite possibly one of the best sites in central Florida. Tons of hiking. Beautiful lakes, boardwalks, and most of all it has a beach.

Close to central florida attractions, however out in bfe. Love this park, hidden gem. Hiking, fishing, lake beach.....nice place to relax

The campsites along the lake offer fantastic views. You can canoe/kayak on there 2 lakes. The hiking trail could be better maintained and it offers very little shade.

Having stayed at Lake Louisa State Park serval times we’ve enjoyed very spacious sites with beautiful views and an exceptionally clean property. The multiple lake views where so peaceful, I think the beach was my favorite by far.
