The Dyrt Recognizes the Top 10 Glamping Destinations in the U.S.

The Dyrt, the only camping app with all of the public and private campgrounds, RV parks, and free camping locations in the United States, has announced the winners of the 2025 Glampy Awards Presented by the New 2025 Ford Bronco Sport®. Now in its fourth year, the Glampys recognize and honor the most unique and innovative glampground destinations throughout the country. And, much like the Bronco Sport®, glamping has a unique way of combining rugged and muddy terrain with comfort and well-appointed surroundings.

So what’s new this year? Well, you might be surprised. There are an unusual number of Glampys honorees in Idaho, for example. Some may say that’s too many. Others may say that proves these awards are legit. Some may say there are too many covered wagons. Others may say it’s the year of the covered wagon.

Opinions on Idaho and wagons aside, outdoor lovers are sure to find a glampsite or two worth booking in this year’s collection. Taking top honors this year is Utah’s Zion Glamping Adventures with its luxurious bell tents set against an iconically western backdrop.

“When we first started the Glampy Awards, its purpose was to shine a light on some of the rare finds across the country, glampgrounds that were offering something extraordinary and unique,” says The Dyrt founder Sarah Smith. “Here we are three years later, and glamping has become more integrated into traditional campgrounds. It’s more common to see campgrounds offer glamping sites among many types of camping experiences, which has led to widespread innovation and creativity in glamping.”

Each of these properties has plenty of those little extras that make a campsite into a glampsite, but on top of that, they are all located in beautiful places rich in things to see and do. These are places in which you might even be willing to bed down in a plain old tent on the ground — but you don’t have to. How about, instead, an Appalachian cabin with a hot tub? A geodesic star-viewing station? Or, yes, a luxury Conestoga wagon?

Nominated by The Dyrt’s camping community and awarded on a subjective basis, the winning glampgrounds were chosen for overall glampiness, originality of design, immersion in nature and the surrounding gorgeousness. And with so many amazing glampgrounds across the U.S. these days, previous Glampy Award winners were not eligible.

This is a large, well-established campground near Summersville Lake, an ideal spot for kayaking and fishing. The real draw for glampers here is the five beautiful, hand-built cabins. The larger cabins are chalet style and individually decorated, built from local Appalachian hemlock, and equipped with a refrigerator, oven, microwave, coffee station, cookware and utensils. Outside each secluded cabin is a fire pit, picnic table and gas grill. And did we mention the hot tub? This is glamping!

You can also opt for a humbler but still adorable tiny house-style cabin, decorated by theme — earth, air, fire or water — plus the Barn and the Farmhouse. And there are two vintage RVs (“Betty” and “Veronica”) with lots of cute details.

Plus, there’s a playground for the kids that contains a model pirate ship, game room and a fancy dog park for pooches to roam. There’s also, of course, the namesake lighthouse, which you can climb up for impressive views of the lake and surrounding hills.
