Reservations 877-444-6777 or recreation.gov

Open June Closed Sep 14 day stay limit

Sites 6 single, 5 tent only TOTAL 11

Host on Site drinking water trash pit toilets This campground is very small with small sites so it is more appropriate from small vans or very small trailers. I liked sites 4, 5, and 6. They are right on the creek. I prefer site 4.

Leigh Creek has drinking water and some sites have picnic tables and fire rings. This camp is great if you like to hike or rock climb. Just outside the camp you will find many VERY small disbursed sites along the gravel road, very dusty. Some road noise a lot of traffic on the gravel road..

Directions: From Ten Sleep drive 7.6 miles on Highway 16 to FSR 18. Bear right and travel one mile to the campground on the right.

Amazing campground!

We arrived around 8 Pm on a Thursday night, and luckily there were two cancellations so we were able to stay in spot 1 and 2. The owner was extremely sweet and helpful. Our campsites were perfect. We loved the privacy and space we had. The rest rooms were the cleanest we’ve seen. I truly enjoyed our one night stay and we will return.

Beautiful

We stayed here one night, but we wished we had more time! Tucked into a canyon, the soothing sounds of the river by our site was very relaxing. Sites had plenty of privacy and the camp host was very helpful! We will definitely be back

Free campsites up the road

We thought about camping at Leigh Creek campground, but on the same road there is a bunch of free campsites more upland from the creek and have beautiful views of ten sleep canyon. we camped right in the middle of the canyon and woke up to unforgettable views in the morning.

Gorgeous setting!

It's mighty chilly here on fall nights! The creek runs right next to some of the sites and makes the best noise to sleep to! Sites have a picnic table, metal fire ring with grate and a metal table. They do have bear area warnings posted. They have clean pit toilets and even have dumpsters which I thought unusual for a bear area, but nice to have in a campground! There is superb fishing and world class rock climbing! We were drawn here for the rock climbing, can't wait to return for more!! Ten Sleep is only about 10 miles away and they have a store called "dirty Sally's" that will rent you the guide book for the area for $5 a day, which is much better than forking out $100 for it if you can find it.
