SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

With sites accommodating RVs up to 53 feet and hookups for 20, 30, and 50 amp service, Jim Moss Arena Campground operates as a private facility 20 minutes outside Riverton. Hosts live on-site and greet arriving campers, often providing setup assistance and directions to facilities. The property's resident dogs roam freely but remain friendly toward visitors and their pets. "The hosts are amazing. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and comfortable," reports Nancy C.. WiFi service extends across the grounds, with hosts installing signal boosters when needed.

The Wind River Mountains rise 45 minutes away, offering hiking opportunities including a 3.4-mile waterfall trail along river canyon terrain. For additional supplies or dining, campers can find camping near Riverton and access to town services within a 20-minute drive.

Many visitors appreciated the welcoming hosts, reliable electrical hookups, and peaceful stargazing atmosphere. The sandy terrain requires some preparation but sites offer easy pull-through access.

Quiet and peaceful

We stayed at JMA on night 5 of a two week road trip. More than the plains of Iowa or the black hills of South Dakota, it was here I could feel my body finally start to relax and experience vacation. The place is incredibly peaceful. We were greeted warmly and treated to the most stunning sunset. Our kids played ball and hugged the animals. What a joy.

Beautiful mountain views.

We stayed 2 nights on our Dec 2025 trip through WY. Very good location for Riverton and Dubois and the WY Badlands. Owner was very nice. Greeted us as soon as we pulled in. Showed us where to fill up our fresh water tank and where the dumpsite was. We didn't use the showers so I can't comment. Pull through sites so setup was easy Power only provided but it was in good condition and worked well.. Had to level up just a tad Owners dogs roamed but they are friendly and do not mess with you pets. Would have loved to stay longer.

Plain and Simple - Great for One night

The campground is SAND with some scrub weeds on it, as expected in the middle of Wyoming. Paid over the phone, never saw the host at all, even as we were setting up and breaking down.

Definitely have your doormat out or you will track sand all over your rig.

Just passing through for a one nighter, you can't beat the price. Hosts were very friendly when making the phone reservation. Would stay again, but definitely not for long term.

Quiet and beautiful ranch

This is an amazing property. We stayed one night along the back fence. There were a few open sites all with 30 amp, and two with 50 amp. There was water next to the electric and a dump station on the way out. The owners invited us up onto the porch of the house where we also met the caretaker and other campers.

It is 20 minutes outside Riverton, WY for any fuel, groceries, food etc.

Perfect Spot for a Stopover!

I had a great experience here. I booked my spot then had to change the dates. Paulette was incredibly responsive and accommodating and greeted me when I finally arrived. I took a walk around during the beautiful morning sunrise and couldn’t be happier with my stay.

Views for miles

The hosts are amazing. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and comfortable. They even brought a wifi repeater and installed next to our camper to insure we had a good signal. 20/30/50 amp available. Community water spicket. Shower- rustic and super clean. Large gathering spot to include fire pits, grill, tables. Stars for miles. The resident poodle, Griz, greets you daily. The Wind River Mountains are about 45 min. away. Worth the trip. PRO TIP: Do the waterfall hike. 3.4 mi. Round-trip. Hiking along the river canyon.

Basic but good!

We scheduled a stop and we were not disappointed. It’s not full hookup sites but has electricity, some sites have water and there is a dump station in the back. Paulette is pretty friendly and her dog is absolutely adorable. He roams around like he owns the place ... 😜

Quiet at night and plenty of stars to look at.
