Broken Arrow Campground in Glendo State Park is located near rolling hills and open plains. Temperatures range from lows in the 20s Fahrenheit during winter to highs in the 80s during summer. Nearby, Glendo Reservoir offers opportunities for fishing and boating, while the park's trails provide hiking options for visitors.
Description
Broken Arrow is the campground situated the farthest to the north on the eastern side of the reservoir. 20 campsites are established around and throughout a large, flat meadow which sits behind a stand of cottonwoods along the lakeshore. A short walk through the cottonwoods will bring you to the water’s edge during high water, though that walk becomes significantly longer as the water level drops into September. Sites 13 and 14 are partially shaded, and all of the other sites in the campground are fairly wide open with little, to no shade. This campground is a popular space for groups hoping to camp together, as it is fairly remote, but with sites that are close enough together to allow groups to camp within walkable distances from each other.

Camping in Wyoming State Parks now open to ALL visitors. From October 1st, 2020 to April 30th, 2021, all campsites at Glendo State Park will be available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Social distancing guidelines are in place.

As of 3/23/26, a fire restriction is in Effect. Wood fires are not permitted at all. Propane, gas, and charcoal grills with a lid are allowed.
Seasonal Notice: Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis from September 16 to May 14. Choose an open site, pay your fees, and enjoy! YURTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR RESERVATION YEAR-ROUND. MUST BOOK 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE.
