SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway's Howell Landing sits along the Namekagon River in northern Wisconsin, managed by the National Park Service and accessible only by boat or on foot. The campground is tent-only and configured as a single large group site, meaning parties share the space without separation between them. Drinking water and toilets are available on-site, and cell service is reported. Paddlers planning a float on the Namekagon will find this a functional river stop, though those expecting individual sites should look elsewhere. Those exploring places to camp near Trego will find this one of the more river-focused options in the area.

West Hoell Landing

Campfround has 6 campsites with fire pits and picnic tables. There is also a double vault toilet. The campground is very clean and accomodate many more campers, scout troops or large families. It is set up for canoe trips overnight stop. I'm here in my tear drop and just do daily trips out in my canoe. There is a 3 night stay limit and it is FREE!

SiteI stayed in my tear drop only about 30 feet from a picnic table and fire pit

Nice spot, serves its purpose

Clean, well kept little campground, which consisted of one large group site. Tent only with access to the Namekagon River. Plenty of parking. The only downside was no separation from other parties due to the group site setup.
