Sites in the newer section provide wider spacing among tall pines and direct lake views, while the original campground offers more shade but requires careful maneuvering around sharp curves. Several sites include elevated decks overlooking the water. The campground provides flush toilets, coin-operated showers, and drinking water, though reviewers note the dump station placement requires awkward navigation around one of the loops.
Cranberry Lake supports fishing, kayaking, and swimming activities. Campers can access sites by vehicle, boat, or on foot. Fred S. found the facilities "very well maintained & clean" during a late October visit when he was the only camper present. The campground stays busy during summer months but offers more solitude in shoulder seasons.
Book early for lakefront sites with the best water access, as these fill first during peak camping season.
