Love this campsite!

We stayed 3 nights at the campsite #16. Spacious site, both shade and open area. Beautiful view on the lake and great access to the water from the campsite. Since it is located on the top of a hill, little windy at times. Drinking water and toilets are less than 2 minute walk away. Very clean and well maintained.Nice, quiet place, only electric boats allowed. Small beach on the lake next to Laura lake, great for kids with perfect view of sunset. Hiking trail around the lake, well marked and easy to do. Couple bike trails nearby. We tried one of them, tall grass and many ticks, would not recommend. Overall, very nice campsite.

Beautiful lakeside campsites with a trail around the lake

The 41 campsites are spread out into different loops. We arrived on Thursday and found plenty of first come first serve sites available. We grabbed the last site with direct lake access. Vault toilets and garbage bins are in each loop.

We were impressed with the size of our site. Our setup only filled half the space. The sites that don’t have lake access are still great sites. The trail runs along the lake right by our campsite. A short 50 yards and we found a beautiful little peninsula to watch the sun set.

We hiked part of the trail around the lake. It connects with other main trails but we explored the small one that went to a neighboring pond. We passed kayakers pulling ashore to go in for a swim too.

We get minimal Verizon signal so we drove to the town of Armstrong Creek to send photos. If the rain holds off we might even stop in for their Polish Celebration this weekend.
