Grand Isle Site in Menominee River State Recreation Area is near the Menominee River, surrounded by forested terrain. Temperatures range from lows in the 20s Fahrenheit during winter to highs in the 80s in summer. Nearby, visitors can explore the Menominee River for fishing and kayaking or visit the nearby waterfalls and hiking trails.

Description

State Park

There are four canoe campsites available on the Wisconsin shore of the Menominee River. Signs with a canoe and tent symbol mark the campsites. These sites are for groups of six persons or less. On the Wisconsin side of the river, campsites are only available by reservation.

At each site there is a fire ring, a cleared spot to pitch a tent, benches and a primitive latrine. No non-designated island camping is permitted on Wisconsin islands in the river.
