Very clean spot

Very nice spot, good tent setup pads and fire rings at all the sites, my one complaint is that it is right next to the road that while not frequently used, the occasional car can often take away from the remote experience. There are some sites a little further in but the diff is minimal. Overall very great, well maintained spot

Disperse camping with defined campsite.

The first reviewer’s comments are correct. I would differentiate in that not all the sites are large. Some are on the small side. But there are picnic tables and fire pits and a vault toilet for sure. It’s quiet and dark and a bit buggy. Many of the car parking pads are not level. But the tent pads appear to be. Because it’s so wooded satellite isn’t going to work well. I captured one bar of cellular on AT&T. And enjoyable free night of camping.

An Outstanding Forest Service Campground

The road leading to the camp site from Wardensville was in excellent condition all the way to the camp site. There are e total of 9 campsites.

Most sites have a paved parking platform and then a second tier for the camp site. All sites are quite large and include picnic tables, fire rings and large tent platforms.

The campsite itself is beautifully wooded. Each campsite is mostly secluded from the rest of the park.

The campground has vaulted toilet and communal garbage receptical. There is a large day use area. There are several trails that intersect with the campsite ànd day hikers are a common site.
