Love camping at Beech Fork

We have stayed here in our tent at least 7 times in the last 10 years. It’s close to home but still a fun camping experience!

Beautiful and secluded

We visited in the end of October 2021. The colors and the views were spectacular. The drive into the park was very curvy mountain back roads. The site included a fire pit with grill and a picnic table. There was a fair amount of space between sites. Approximately 50-75 feet apart. The bath house was nice but could use a little refreshening. There are many activities including a shooting range, frisbee golf course, swimming pool, playground just to name a few. With Verizon as our service provider no cell signal was available at the park. Overall, we give 3 stars. Minus one star for no cell service and minus another star due to maintenance. Overall, very nice park.

Busy place but lots to do

This was just an overnight stay for us as we passed through the area, but we will hopefully be back to check it out closer.  Lots to do for the whole family!  We stopped in on a Tuesday and I was shocked at how busy it was, but the sites are large enough that you have plenty of space for yourself.  Facilities were decent.

Lakefront, gorgeous park

We stayed at Beech Fork in our overlander tent, right on the lake. The sunrises were absolutely spectacular, tons of blue heron and ducks every morning floating on the water. We canoed through the lake and found an amazing site with a beach several miles from the campground only accessible by boat (oddly enough this was the only place we had cell service besides town). Didn’t catch any fish but the trip was incredible!

Great campsites

Great camp sites and nice if you have a boat with you as most sites are on the water which is great for casual fishing. Nice pool close by and picnic shelters. They now have a disc golf course and plenty of trails. Camp store needs more options and there is WiFi there. Old orchard is the only camp section with WiFi.
