Directions

The Hopkins Mountain Firemans residence is located approximately 15-miles north of the town of White Sulphur, WV. From White Sulphur, travel on State Highway 92 for approximately 9-miles. Turn west (left) onto State Route 16 and travel approximately 4-miles. Across from the entrance to Blue Bend Recreation Area, turn onto Forest Road 139 (Hopkins Mountain Road) and travel approximately 4-miles to the circular turnaround and the firemans residence.\_\_The cabin is accessed by a single lane, steep Forest Service Road; while the road can be travelled by car, conditions can change quickly during adverse weather. Four Wheel drive vehicle are recommended.
