No camping allowed

I’m not sure where the original reviewer was, but the coordinates listed lead to a small lake (nowhere near mountains) where camping is not allowed. Trash in the parking lot.

Beautiful spot on the lake under Winchester Mountain

this campsite is one of my all time top favorites ever. The Road up is a little sketchy, so make sure you have a good care for it- lots of steep gravel switchbacks with not much room on the edges for passing cars. In the summer this place is full of booming wildflowers and it is colorful and beautiful. There is a hike up Winchester with a fire lookout on the top that is fun to explore. It is kind of busy so get there early. Really wonderful place up in the mountains with great starts at night. The campsites are near the lake and little streams that run all along the little valley. There are bathrooms and a big parking lot. Lots of mosquitoes.
