Free Farm Fresh Eggs

Come and enjoy the big sky and open spaces on our Central Washington homestead. From your campsite you will be able to sit and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets and view of the Cascade Mountains to the West. At night you will only need to look up into the sky to clearly spot millions of stars. You will also be given farm fresh eggs to enjoy with a meal.

We offer all sorts of experiences from feeding and cuddling goats to star gazing with our big telescope. check out more details by clicking on one of out camp sites

On our homestead, you can visit the chickens and goats. Enjoy the walking trail right on our property or ride your bikes. Kids will have plenty of room to run, play and picnic. Children are also welcome to set up their own tent for a night of parent free fun. If in season, you can explore the garden.

With a short drive you will find seasonal hunting, fishing, biking, hiking (Beezley Hill), lakes, golf, mini golf, water park, bowling, casino, and a good selection of restaurants. There are also two Walmarts near by for any of your needs. During the Summer there is also a delightful farmers market in Moses Lake in McCosh Park.

A little farther and you will find natural pools at Potholes State Park, Soap Lake, Coulee Dam, and Lake Lenore Caves. There are also the DUNES with lake access.

Attending the Grant County Fair? We are only an 8 minute drive from the fair grounds gates. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the fair and enjoy and evening of peace and quiet under the stars.

Interesting fact: Our homestead is located on the McConihe Flats. 1200 years ago the Sinkiuse Indians would meet on the McConihe Flats and trade. They would also collect things along the shore of the lake such, as duck eggs and reeds, which are still around today.

Conveniently located between Moses Lake and Ephrata Washington. Only 12 minutes from either town where you can find Walmart and other stores for all your needs.

***Our campsites and the majority of the property is accessible by wheel chair. The ground does have rocks on it. The bathroom can not fit a wheel chair and the lower part of the walking path would not be wheel chair accessible.

Charming and peaceful - Olivia V.

We had a lovely stay at Christine’s place on our drive across the country. She was nice enough to gift us with fresh eggs once we arrived! She told us about their property and let us roam on our own to meet the dogs, goats and friendly cat. It was peaceful and comforting to hang out and watch the sunset there. The outhouse is very clean-with cute charm too! I would recommend this stay to anyone going through the area. We are so grateful for hosts like Christine!

Great first experience! - Calvin L.

Our family of four stayed at site three for one night and boondocked with our travel trailer. The sunset views that night were incredible and we got to watch a lightning storm off in the distance. The hosts were very gracious and showed us around the garden, we got to meet the two goats and dogs, and we experienced the chicken coup where we received fabulous fresh eggs from earlier in the morning. It was a great experience and we highly recommend staying here.

Directions

Coming From Moses Lake: When you come to the blinking stop sign you will want to turn right ( NOT LEFT like GPS will tell you) and then you will make an immediate left into the driveway of the large red fire station garage. You will then see our driveway on your left. Coming from Ephrata: Once you are on Neppel Rd NE you will follow the road and will turn right just before you reach the cross road of North Lake Rd NE. Your right will be into a "driveway" of a large red fire station garage and then you will see our driveway on the left. GPS will try and tell you to keep going strait down Neppel but that is not correct.

Basic, but affordable and great hosts.

We stayed one night here. The hosts were kind without being pushy. The actual camping spot is small, and pretty basic, but we didn’t need a bunch of fancy amenities. For camping sites In that area, Whimsey was very affordable.

Overall, it was quiet, affordable, and just what we needed.

No response

No reply to my messages. Contacted them in May through the link in Dyrt. Didn’t stay here but reviewed so others will look for another way to communicate with them. Instant Book button did nothing.

45 Minutes from the Gorge

Ashley here with The Dyrt, extending a warm welcome to Christine, your host. Peaceful and primitive, this is a great spot to unwind after a long day of adventuring. We've heard they even sometimes have fresh eggs upon your arrival. Book your stay and leave them some love!
