Beautiful quiet spot
This campground has 10 spaces. We stayed at site 4. It was very quiet and the our waterfront site was beautiful. Typical vault toilets. There is potable water. First come first serve but we were able to find a waterfront site on Labor Day weekend.
Beautiful and lovely!
We went during the off season to camp here so there were plenty of spots along the creek. There were a couple trees down so it opened the view up to the mountains where we caught a beautiful sunset hitting the summits and trees. The facilities were normal - the expected pit toilets, nice fire pits with a grill top and picnic table. Overall it was lovely. We had driven around and though it was a little nicer than the lower Johnson campground down the road.

Get a waterfront spot at Ida Creek
As you drive down Icicle Road there are a several camp grounds. Ida Creek is the end of the gravel road before it jogs up and right to Rock Creek.
They have a half a dozen great spots right on the water. Try to score one of these. Great bonus to driving all the way to Ida Creek and passing Eight Mile and the other camp sites is the fact that you are closer to the beautiful hike at Icicle Gorge just up the hill.
