At the far end of Icicle Road, roughly 13 miles west of Leavenworth, Black Pine Horse Camp sits near a creek within Wenatchee National Forest and operates from May 1 through October 15. Sites are spacious, and the campground includes pit toilets and drinking water. No pets are allowed. Primarily designated for equestrian use, tent campers are technically welcome, though horse trailers take site priority. That rule rarely comes into play, and the campground's distance from town keeps crowds thin on busy weekends. Campers who don't mind the long drive in will find a low-key base worth the trip.
Description
This campground is located along Blackpine Creek and provides access to Icicle Creek Trail #1551, Jack Creek Trail, and Blackjack Ridge Trail #1565.
