Within the Cottonwood Field Office managed by the Bureau of Land Management, Pink House Recreation Site provides first-come, first-served camping along the Clearwater River. This small campground combines tent and RV sites with full hookups at $10-18 per night, operating year-round for boaters and anglers seeking river access.
The campground features three elevated campsites with picnic tables, plus additional standard sites that accommodate big rigs. A boat launch connects directly to the Clearwater River, making this location popular with paddlers and fishing enthusiasts. The adjacent day-use area includes a sandy beach where visitors can wade or let children swim. Campers consistently mention the facility's cleanliness, with maintained restrooms that lack showers but provide basic amenities.
Sites fill early due to the boat launch proximity, and overnight parking outside designated camping areas is prohibited. Payment requires cash or check, with discounts available for senior and access pass holders. Annell N. notes the site is "very clean, quiet and great managers onsite." The Canoe Camp RV Park sits less than a mile east for those seeking additional amenities.
Access roads can be rough, particularly during wet conditions, but the location rewards visitors with direct river access and established facilities at budget-friendly rates.
