Best Cabin Camping near Ephrata, WA

Granted we are here off season but the swimming pool, hot tub and clubhouse are immaculate. If you’re tent camping, no worry - bathrooms have showers and are extremely clean. Sites have full hookups 30/50 amp and heated coils to prevent any water freeze. Extremely impress, already one of my favorite off season spots.

We have been to the Blue Lake Resort during June 2021. The location is awesome, quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. The breeze is welcoming& gentle enough to get fresh air. Very friendly staff, good walking, can get out onto calm rides on water, get some fresh water swimming, catch good fish. Newly added Domes and Glamping sites are nice and they are more attrea We stayed in newly renovated cabin. Very clean with new management upgraded everything they can think of. Cabin has all the amenities including full kitchen. The location is awesome, quiet and peaceful for a relaxing vacation. New Management renovated the entire reort including RV, Camping spots, Cabins and especaially bathrooms. All the amenties water/electric, showers, kayak and motor boats rental are included in rental price. So no surprises at the end. It's a must visit stay place for camping/glamping and dome experience

We went here during the summertime and the cabins were just awesome they have a little AC unit in there which made it great to relax and after we had gotten home from hiking around in the rocks. You could also camp in a tent however with the quality of the cabins the price was well worth it especially during the summer time when it was sweltering hot highly recommended

We stayed a couple of nights in the cabins in this campground when they were brand new in 2013. Personally, I'd be wary of tent camping in the summer here because it gets very hot. Returning from a day hiking on the rock and chilling in the AC of the cabin was priceless.

The location is great, you can walk right from the camp area up the mesa which has incredible views, or go swimming in the lake or any other water based activity. It's a short drive to town where there's a grocery store and the Grand Coulee Dam, which is a must-see if you're in the area. At night they do laser light shows, which was a fun side trip.

The facilities are great, water tap nearby, picnic table and fire pit with grill at the site, and clean restrooms with showers (that you pay for). The bathrooms get pretty sauna like in the heat but are survivable. We had a blast trying our hardest to grill things on the fire pit, though we did break down and use the microwave in our cabin at least once... The minifridge in the cabin was also nice for that. Glamping at it's finest!

The park maintains front sites much better then back, cabins are not that great and not worth what they charge for them, they have only had 1 decent manager since they bought park and he left, their are much better parks in the area and don't charge as much, owners want Westside rates on eastern side of mountains, would not recommend

We had. Road trip from dallas to Vancouver  Canada and stopped in resort for 2 nights.

Camp host was friendly and site was clean. 

There was wind in one of the night and the host offered us a free cabin that was available to occupy at no charge. Store was equipped with essentials.

We enjoyed fishing , kayaking on the lake.

I’ve been to this campground countless times because the group site is perfect to pull up boats. There is great fishing, a huge day use area with a volleyball court and room to play softball. The cabins here are comfy. In the past there have been sand dunes on the lake where we’ve explored, as well as a beautiful waterfall. The small canal that comes off the lake is perfect for kayaking or paddle boarding.

the campground was nice and tidy, but you're basically sleeping on hard ground littered with a bunch of rocks and little prickly balls (that fell off trees). those little prickly things pierced through my flip flops which was not fun. the wind was brutal and nearly blew away half of our party's tents. the ground is super dry which made getting tent stakes in very challenging. we used our vehicles to try to shield our site from the wind. you are better off renting a cabin or bring your RV! despite all that i actually liked our camping experience since there was so much to see and do. you could go try and golf but the gusts were super strong so i think it would be pointless. banks lake is super close by with a bunch of primitive fee-free boat launches. just don't forget your discovery pass! the fishing at deep lake was phenomenal! fresh caught kokanee pan fried in butter! yum! dry falls are a quick drive up the road and you could even go see grand coulee damn if you wanted to. would i tent camp here again? probably not. would i come back and rent a cabin or van camp? most definitely! would i bring the dogs? not unless they raked up all those prickly things off of the ground. i think it would be complete torture for them.

Discovered this place 2 years ago and now it's an annual event. We go in late June, perfect weather, and few bugs. This geography reminds me of the southwest, AZ, NV, bit jist a few hoirs drive from Seattle.

Snack shack and playground for kods, with paved trails to connect all the loops. Showers with hot water for a small fee. Campground is beautiful and very clean.

Cabins with A.C. are available.

My favorite thing is the clear skies at night, so I can lay in my tent and watch for falling stars.

If I could give everyone at Ephrata RV Park more than 5 stars I would! 

We stayed at the campground last weekend for a weekend-long concert at the Gorge Amphitheater. The campground was so clean, everyone we interacted with was lovely, and I’m incredibly glad we chose to stay here. 

First off, the campground hosts were so accommodating. We checked in on a Friday and spoke with them about going to a show at the Gorge. They swung by our campsite the next morning and gave us a big umbrella to take with us for shade at the Gorge! They often swung by to see how things went, and were so friendly when we popped into the front office as well. 

Here’s the really amazing part- we left a set of our car keys at the campsite when we left for home. We were in a rush to leave, and unfortunately didn’t do a final sweep of the site. We spent a whole day after getting home looking for these keys. I called Ephrata the next day and they said they’d be on the lookout. One day later, I get a call back, and they found them! They shipped them off to us in the mail with no second thought, which was SO incredibly kind. We’re originally from California and this is not something we would ever expect someone to do for us! It’s amazing to know that there are kind people in the world still! 

The amenities were great as well. The campground is super clean! Clean bathrooms, free showers(!!), clean campsites, and quiet to boot. They have a great little front store that you can grab necessities from, and you can rent stuff for activities around the campground as well. They have a pool, a dog run at the front, tennis court, and more. 

We stayed in tent camping site 17. It was the first row of sites, and had some lovely trees with shade. The campsites were all on grass which was nice. The site got nice shade in the morning and late afternoon to keep out of the heat. 

It was such a great relief to be able to come here after a long day at the Gorge and enjoy the peace and quiet. We love live music but not the crowd that comes with it so being here was wonderful. 

We will 10000% be back here for our next concert at the Gorge, and will recommend anyone we know passing through to stay here as well. This is such a great gem of an RV Park.

General: Three campgrounds (Sage, Dune, and Bay Loops with a total of 136 full hook-up sites and 26 standard sites) in the main park plus primitive sites at Jones Ba (44) and Osborn Bay (36) with vault toilets and no water, 12 boat-in sites north of the main campground and five campsites for equestrian campers in Northrup Canyon. There are also three cabins in the Bay Loop that each sleep five.

Site Quality/Facilities: We stayed in the Bay Loop. The sites were all very generous in size and spaced a decent distance apart. The drives are paved and can accommodate large RVs. Each site has a large metal picnic table and fire grate (although there was a fire ban when we were there). Park volunteers were very visible throughout our stay maintaining the campsites. 

Bathhouse: The bathhouse in the Bay Loop was the more modern of the two I saw. It was clean and had one shower stall BUT there were NO hooks or bench (other than a useless tiny shelf above the sink) to put toiletries; my bag fell and the top of my moisturizer container broke making a huge mess! There are also two all-in-ones. Showers were 50 cents for every three minutes and I managed to do a three-minute shower! 

Activities: So much to do but you have to bring your own toys! I had read there were kayak and SUP rentals but could not find where to do this anywhere in the park. There is a swimming beach, boat launch, fishing pier (and fish cleaning stations in each camp loop), basketball, volleyball, playground, and paved walking trails connecting the beach and all the camp loops. I was disappointed that the Steamboat Rock trail was closed when we were there due to fire danger. Also, the concession stand selling burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, etc. is closed on Monday and Tuesday and, of course, we were there on a Monday! 

The scenery is beautiful, and the campground is very well-maintained. The price is steep ($50) but at least you don’t have to pay extra for the Discover Pass. All in all, we had a very nice stay here and would come back again, hopefully to hike the Steamboat Rock trail with the reward of Huckleberry ice cream.

This campground must cost a mint to maintain - the lawn is midwestern-perfect and trimmed to perfection, the landscaping is gorgeous, and the campground is sprayed nightly if mosquitoes are particularly bad even in the height of August. That being said, there's nothing delineating your site from the neighboring site, so you're really just sharing a lawn with a hundred of your fellow campers. This campground is very popular with families with young children, so be prepared to have kids whizzing around on their scooters at all hours of the day. It was kinda awesome to see kids play in the street in a way i bet they couldn't at home.

So the cabins - that's what you really want. they're air-conditioned, comfortable, and clean. there's a fridge, a picnic table, a fire pit, and your own personal patch of pristine kelly-green lawn. worth EVERY penny!

Great camping spot at a state park with trails and lake access. This is a big park with lots of amenities and lots of people in the summer time. But you can always hike a trail or get on the water to escape the crowds.

The area is stunning and outside of the camp ground and park its pretty remote.

Because this campground has a boat launch we would make this an annual trip with the ski boat. The lake is big enough to find a clear spot for skiing.

Another option on Baker Lake is a private resort Sunbanks Resort. They also have boat launches and their campground is much larger and even has a few dozen little dry cabins. They get much more crowded and hectic but, it's an option if you can't reserve a spot at the Steamboat State Park you can likely get a spot at Sunbanks.

Last visited in 2020. New is Wi-Fi. I did remote work off and on. Used to come every year in late summer when water level is low and there are more sand dunes. There's 6 circular FHU loops (back in only), a group camp and cabin loop. In the main campground campsites are well spaced with room in the middle of each loop to park boats or extra cars. There are token operated showers, boat trailer parking and fish cleaning stations. Our kids would bike, scooter and use the playground. We boat out to the dunes, spend the day on a dune and fish and do water sports from there. The swimming area is hit and miss depending on the water level. Be aware of lots of vegetation in the water near the shore. Sometimes swimming is prohibited when there is a toxic algae break out. So check ahead. Also, when tenting during the week (M-Th), pitch tents on tent pad, not the grass (read the signs posted). Sprinklers run regularly. At night you can hear the coyotes. Boat launch area was rebuilt and can get busy. It's our fam fav.
