GuideIt is basically a gravel lot along soap lake. It has full hookups and costs $52/ Night. Easy to get in. You have to use the QR code box on the board beside the gate. It works easily and you get your gate code by email quickly. The internet is strong but slow. We are using our Verizon with 5g signal. Showers nice and hot.
RangerJust pulled in on 09/06/2026 for two nights. Small and a little crowded, but it is Labor Day weekend. Good place to stay next to the Columbia River for a few days. Nice host and clean restrooms.
GuideSteamboat was everything we wanted and more. Unfortunately we only stayed here one night since we were on our way home from another trip. But this is the first public campground that i can 100% say we are coming back to. Lots of hiking, water access, fishing spots, actual sandy beaches and great biking trails. Sites are clean and spacious with space for tents near RVs. Grass is watered everyday and lots of wildlife. The lake itself has a great designated swim area which is good because it provides a safe area away from boats and skis. They have rules against E-bikes and kids which is not a bad thing… water electric and sewer hookups are all right next to each other so plan accordingly. Bathrooms were clean and they even had dumpsters and fish cleaning stations.
TravelerWe enjoyed our 1 night stay at Potholes. It’s a bit hard to get to coming from the west, but the park is well kept. It was early June, and the park was not at all crowded. We liked the layout of the loops for RVA camping, which felt like there was a decent amount of space. We did not fish or otherwise use the lake, but it is very scenic. Shower facilities were also well-maintained.
ScoutIt use to be the most beautiful, well kept campground in Moses Lake. Sunrise Resort company owns it and they have neglected to take care of this property. It shameful what has happened. Maybe if enough people complain they will do something about it.

Scout20 minutes from the gorge amphitheater which is nice! Shower and flushing toilets. Sites are close together and real close to the road. This is for concert vibes for true camping camping for sure
TravelerWe spent 4 nights here in early April 2026. We had sight #58 and it was great! Each loop has a wonderful grass lawn to enjoy. Sites are pretty large for a state park, our 30 foot trailer fit easily and our F350 parked next to it in the space. Little privacy between sites but there is enough space in between that you don’t notice.
If you have a tent, the spots are next to the lake. A couple had beautiful views of the lake.
We’ve heard that the mosquitoes are terrible here but we were early enough to only have a few.
If you fish or bird, this is a great spot for you! Bass were huge. And the Coots were fun to watch.
TravelerIf you have a boat and know how to fish, this lake it is a great spot. For a dock you need to go to Mardon Resort just down lake, but you need to rent a camp site to use it. This is not a swimming lake. It is a seep lake from irrigated farms and direct irrigation from Coulee dam. In August and September the lake is quite low and may be difficult to launch a boat. Great store nearby and a 2 restaurants. Lots of grass to run your dog too.
