Great Campground

We loved this campground. The grounds were well maintained, and bathrooms were clean. There was a good amount of space between sites, which was great. Most spots were very nice, and many were right next to the water. My guess is that it's a busy park during peak season, but our shoulder season timing was perfect for peace and quiet. There are a couple of good hikes nearby, and I hiked the Steamboat Rock hike. The first 1/3 of the hike was more moderate with steep trails and scree, but it gets easier once you're past that.

Great quiet area

Amazingly relaxing quiet camping spot. Tent and RV sites available. Great area to explore, enjoy the water, and hike. Steamboat Rock Trail will take you to amazing 360° views of Banks Lake. Watch for snakes during the summer though.

Very Nice

Clean, well-kept facilities. If you’re hooking up, you’ve got sewer right at the site! Hiking to the top of the plateau is worth it. Tons of little hidden spots along the water to find a place all your own.

We go here every year

We visit this camp ground every year. It's a great spot with beautiful views, hiking, and water activities. Our friends bring a boat for water skiing but we also just lounge around the beach. Only drawback is there is usually a burn ban in the summer, so no camp fires, and the showers could.use some attention. We have started camping here in September instead of August like we used to because we've discovered the weather is much more pleasant and it is a lot less busy. The summer can be hot. We make sure to book a spot with shade. Also, pay attention to the lawn watering schedule for your area of the campground. Make sure your stuff is put away before the sprinklers start. This is a great place to stay with a family.

Best kept secret

Discovered this place 2 years ago and now it's an annual event. We go in late June, perfect weather, and few bugs. This geography reminds me of the southwest, AZ, NV, bit jist a few hoirs drive from Seattle.

Snack shack and playground for kods, with paved trails to connect all the loops. Showers with hot water for a small fee. Campground is beautiful and very clean.

Cabins with A.C. are available.

My favorite thing is the clear skies at night, so I can lay in my tent and watch for falling stars.
