Sunbanks Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Sunbanks Resort, a full-hookup campground on the shore of Banks Lake in Electric City, Washington. Sites accommodate RVs up to 50 feet with electric, water, and sewer connections, and the facility includes drinking water, showers, a dump station, and WiFi. The access road in and out is narrow, so drivers of longer rigs should plan accordingly.

The campground sits directly on the lake, with floating docks where boaters can tie up. Sites are packed close together, and at least one reviewer noted uneven gravel-and-dirt surfaces. Shade is present across much of the property. Crowding is a real factor on holiday weekends, so booking early matters. Cell coverage is unreliable; one camper found AT&T service poor and WiFi unavailable during their stay.

"The camp spaces are packed together and the road in and out is very narrow," noted Chris B. The proximity to the water is the main draw, and the resort's Cantina adds an on-site dining option, though at least one reviewer reported a negative experience with staff there. Showers have drawn complaints about water temperature. Nearby, Osbourne Bay Campground — Steamboat Rock State Park and Coulee Playland Resort offer additional options along the lake corridor.

Sunbanks Resort is a practical base for boaters and anglers who prioritize direct lake access and full hookups over site spacing and solitude.

Pretty rough

Not much separation between spots and ours was gravel/dirt and pretty uneven. No internet and AT&T coverage was bad.

Fun but crowded

Their campground has a lot to offer. With the good comes the bad. The camp spaces are packed together and the road I. And out is very narrow. All in all it is a nice day lace with lots of shade.

Great Location.

This was our first trip to Sunbanks. Our friends go every year but I never get the time off expect this year. It's a great location right on the lake. You can bring your boat and dock it on their floating docks. It's crowded on holidays so book earlier to get a great spot. The only two complaint I have is that the women's showers don't get warm, lucky it was got out all weekend so it wasn't that big of a deal. The second was that management and staff decided to treat my friends like crap after a bad experience at their Cantina.

For exact directions and GPS coordinates, contacting the resort directly is recommended.

What camping options are available at Sunbanks Lake Resort?

Sunbanks Resort offers waterfront camping sites where you can enjoy direct lake access. The resort accommodates both tent camping and RVs, with sites available right along the water. For those bringing boats, the resort provides floating docks where you can moor your watercraft during your stay. Due to its popularity, especially during holidays, early reservations are recommended to secure preferred spots.

What amenities and facilities does Sunbanks Lake Resort offer?

Sunbanks Resort features floating docks for boat mooring, boat rentals for guests without their own watercraft, and shaded camping areas that provide relief from the sun. The resort offers direct lake access for swimming and water activities. However, internet service is limited or non-existent, and AT&T cell coverage is reported to be poor. The amenities focus primarily on outdoor recreation and lake enjoyment rather than modern connectivity.

Is Sunbanks Lake Resort worth visiting based on visitor reviews?

Sunbanks Resort offers a mixed experience that may appeal to certain campers. Its waterfront location and boat facilities are definite highlights, making it ideal for water enthusiasts. The resort provides good shade and various recreational opportunities. However, some drawbacks include tightly packed campsites, narrow access roads, uneven gravel/dirt sites, and poor cell service. For those prioritizing lake access and boating over spacious, private camping, Sunbanks can be an enjoyable destination.

How is the resort layout at Sunbanks Lake Resort?

The layout at Sunbanks Resort is characterized by closely packed campsites with limited separation between neighbors. Access roads through the resort are notably narrow, which can make navigation challenging, especially for larger rigs.
