China Point on Cle Elum River

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest manages this dispersed site along the Cle Elum River, where three pull-in spots each have a fire ring. The farthest spot back has enough room for a group and more level ground to work with. Sitting in a valley, the site stays shaded until roughly an hour after sunrise. Private property borders the area on all sides, though the boundaries are clearly marked. Salmon la sac sits about 0.7 miles southwest for campers who want a more developed alternative. Come prepared with firewood and arrive early in the season, as snow on the ground is possible even when roads are clear.
