Shady trees but sites seemed small

I had to drive down to this campground because our camp hosts were staying here instead of at soapstone. As I drove through there’s plenty of shaded areas but the campsites looked small. If you have a tent bigger than a 4 person, check the site to make sure you won’t be hanging off the pad or at an angle.

Amazing Spot

We camped here at the end of August, and the weather was perfect, chilly at night but not horrible!

One of my favorites

Having grown up near here, I love going back to camp at this site. It had flushing toilets, a fill station, and a dump station. The trees are very thick, so from many camp sites, you can’t see the adjacent one. There are nearby trails and a great view of Stillwater dam.

Nice secret

We have stayed here a couple of times now. Usually there are spots available any time. They have great restrooms and the river is a 2 or 3 minute walk from any of the spots. We will be back here again.

Ponderosa pine and fish in the creek.

It’s a beautiful campground that my family and I have been going to the last few years. It’s quiet each campsite has a nice separation. There’s hiking trails, and fishing. The whole area smells like butterscotch and vanilla due to the Pondarosa Pines.
