Tracking Station Road

Wind off the La Sal peaks and open sightlines in every direction define the experience at Tracking Station Road, a dispersed site within Manti-La Sal National Forest outside Castle Valley, Utah. A fire ring is on-site, but shade is absent, so sun exposure runs high throughout the day. Campers visiting in early September have found the area empty. Well-suited to hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians, the site gives access to trails in multiple directions, making it a workable base for those exploring camping near Castle Valley.

Panoramic views of the La Sal’s and the Desert

Easy access. The views are spectacular in every direction. Fire ring available. Be prepared for lots of sun and a bit of wind coming off the peaks behind you. Staying here in early September, no one here at all. Amazing.
