BLM-managed dispersed camping along a washboard dirt road, Little Spencer Flat sits roughly 2 miles in from the highway east of Escalante. Sites appear sporadically along the first 2.5 miles of road, with nothing beyond that point. The road doesn't require 4WD, but the rough, washboardy surface makes it a poor choice for anyone towing a trailer. Verizon users can expect enough signal for texting and email. April brings wind. Bring everything you need; there are no services on-site.
