Fossil Valley RV Park

Fossil Valley RV Park accommodates RVs up to 60 feet with full hookups including 50-amp electric service on level gravel sites. Located directly off Vernal's main road, the park sits within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and a Maverick convenience store. Reservations are available year-round, and the facility welcomes pets.

Large shade trees cover much of the property, providing relief during summer months. Sites are positioned close together with approximately eight feet between units, though grassy areas and picnic tables accompany each spot. The park offers both pull-through and back-in configurations to handle various RV sizes and towing setups. Jesse E. notes the "lots of really big shade trees which would be a HUGE plus during hotter summer months."

Clean restrooms and shower facilities require an additional fee for hot water use. A laundry facility with three washers and dryers serves campers, with the office providing quarters for change. WiFi reaches throughout the property. Traffic noise from the adjacent main road affects some sites more than others, with back areas of the park experiencing less road sound.

The park serves as a convenient base for exploring camping near Vernal and accessing Dinosaur National Monument, located about 25 minutes away. The urban setting suits campers who prefer full services and easy town access over remote wilderness camping.

Many visitors appreciated the large shade trees, clean facilities, and exceptionally helpful owners Dennis and his family. Sites toward the back minimize road noise from the main street location, which provides easy walking access to Vernal's shops and restaurants.

Very good RV park

This park is clean and well maintained with plenty of pull thru sites with room for all your tow vehicles. Full hookups with max 50 amp service and good Wi-Fi. Shady park with nice bathrooms/showers and close to stores and restaurants. The owners are friendly and considerate of your needs.

Nice little park

We enjoyed this little RV park. It was quiet and well maintained and just off the main road making it easy to walk about parts of town. Vernal is a nice town with several interesting drives and sites nearby. This RV park is a good launching pad for day trips!

Great location

This place is right off the main road. Stayed here to go to Dinosaur Monument. Friendly owner. Two showers and two toilets for each. Sites are close together but everyone was friendly. Close to food and auto shops.

Great location and friendly staff

This is a great, clean RV park in Vernal. The location is 25 minutes or so to the Dinosaur National Monument. There are so many other things to do in Vernal. We needed more time here.

Great place to stay, lots of shade

So first of all I want to say that the host is extremely nice and very accommodating. We were here at an unusual time of year so fair amount of vacancy, but still he let us stay until the late afternoon before deciding off we wanted to stay and pay for another night, which was awesome.

Park has lots of really big shade trees which would be a HUGE plus during hotter summer months.

Sites were good with the grading of gravel pull through’s and back ins with grassy areas with a picnic table that’s kept in great shape.

Some reviews mention the Main Street traffic and it is a bit loud, but not really anything that bothered us.

We would absolutely visit again!

Big shade trees!

This RV Park has very nice big shade trees and lots of grass. If you get a space towards the back of the Park the road noise mentioned by others isn’t an issue. The spaces are close together or I would rate this a five! We were in Space 45 on the end so were able to take advantage of the parks edge and watched some kids soccer games!

Fossil valley RV park

We stayed here a couple of nights in our 35' motorhome towing a Jeep. The park is in the middle of Vernal and convenient to shopping and restaurants. A good bit of road noise and located next to a tire store. The sites are level, gravel and shaded, but close together (maybe 8'). Park is run by a man named Dennis and his son. They are both very helpful and pleasant. The park is very clean and well kept. The bathrooms are very clean, but you have to pay extra for showers. The park also has a laundry with three washers and the dryers. Dennis has plenty of quarters for change.

Last Minute

Owner is great . I arrived here around 8:45pm . He allowed me to tent camp here. I ride a motorcycle. I saw more Rv than tent site. I would definitely camp here next time .
