Mountain biking draws most visitors to McCoy Flats Juniper Dispersed, a free BLM dispersed area outside Vernal built around a non-motorized trail network in the juniper flats of northeastern Utah. Access comes via narrow, sandy two-track roads, and rigs hauling trailers should scout the route first. The right fork is the more manageable approach. Two vault toilets serve the area, one older unit tucked into the junipers and a newer one near the main paved road. No water and no dumpsters are on-site, but cell signal is reliable. McCoy Flats MTB Trailhead sits nearby for campers who want a spot closer to the trail access point.
