Nicest place we’ve stayed

Really wonderful RV camp. Lots of space between spots. Most are pull through. All gravel except the grass but very level and really well surfaced. Every spot has grass and a table in great shape. All the utility hookups are very well maintained. Baths and showers super clean. DVD’s to borrow. Couldn’t ask for more, this place is a wonderful spot to be weather your singing through or staying for a bit. We were just here for 1 night.

Great place to stay, lots of shade

So first of all I want to say that the host is extremely nice and very accommodating. We were here at an unusual time of year so fair amount of vacancy, but still he let us stay until the late afternoon before deciding off we wanted to stay and pay for another night, which was awesome.

Park has lots of really big shade trees which would be a HUGE plus during hotter summer months.

Sites were good with the grading of gravel pull through’s and back ins with grassy areas with a picnic table that’s kept in great shape.

Some reviews mention the Main Street traffic and it is a bit loud, but not really anything that bothered us.

We would absolutely visit again!

Great RV location!

Just stopped here overnight but really glad we found it. Family owned and operated for several generations. Very clean. Showers and toilets nice andy very clean and water is hot! Has a small pool. Cute general store/office and staff was very nice. Most of sites are pull through. Wifi worked great for us. Overall great RV spot whether it’s just a night or longer.

Nice place, close to Humboldt

We stayed here 2 nights in our 24’ bumper pull. Cute little place. On top of RV sites (I think all of them have full hookups for at least 30 amp) they have some cute little bungalows and a grassy area for tent campers too. Folks at check in were very nice and were able to get our last minute booking upgraded to a spot that fit our truck too when we checked in. At booking only a spot big enough for trailer was available.

Sites were nice and had a metal fire bin and picnic table. Most had some shade. They seem a bit over the top on security for me, but maybe how it needs to be so close to Humboldt - what I mean by this is bathroom’s had a combination lock on them even though they were behind a privacy fence from the road (we didn’t ask but didn’t get a code when we checked in so I assume they are only for the Tent sites??) and also a gate that would have allowed for easy getting out when we left was not only shut, but padlocked, and we don’t know where the host is at or their hours, so we had to scootle back and forth a bit to turn around and leave the way we came in.

Also, the place advertised ‘limited wifi’ and for us it totally did nothing. Was hoping to work a bit on the laptop but even though I was connected everything just timed out. Maybe the park closer to the gift shop would have been better?

In summary I would stay again because it was pretty and clean and folks were nice and price was great but just expect it to be a bit quirky.

Lovely camp ground

Desperately looking for a site for one night during July 4th weekend we popped in here to ask and they had a spot that had just opened up from the reservation list. Staff was so nice! Hot showers worked great while we were there, buti heard they can be down from time to time due to the drought. We were not in a spot with hookups but the campsites are just lovely with the ponderosa pines for shades but still lots of open space. Nice fire ring and table in every site. South Tahoe with all the amenities just 5 minutes down the road. We were just passing through but want to visit Tahoe for a week or more in the future and this is the campground we will book at.

Great little place to stop.

So this is the campground just below the damn (cross damn first and turn left), but there are other sites up and around the reservoir and boat ramp. This particular campground has trees and paved road/pads. No hookups at individual sites. Water spigots dispersed. Free dump station at top of damn. Every site has a steel fire pit and nice big steel picnic tables. Lots of open space for tents and such in fairly level and Sandy ground. My 40’ rig would fit in most spots no problem. Has free showers, but due to the current extreme drought the damn level is WAY low so they are closed, and no fires right now either. My cell signal (t-mobile) only above damn, no service actually down in the campsite. Overall clean though and nice atmosphere and perfect stopping spot for a night or two traveling through.
