Enterprise Reservoir Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting within Dixie National Forest in southwestern Utah, Enterprise Reservoir Campground spreads across two reservoir sections, each with a distinct character. The upper reservoir draws the most attention, with lakeside dispersed spots among volcanic tuff rock formations filling fast on summer weekends. The lower reservoir sees less competition for waterfront sites, though reviewers note the surroundings there are less distinctive. No shade trees anywhere on the property, and cell service is essentially nonexistent, so plan accordingly.

Lakeside access drives most of the camping decisions here. Campers consistently report arriving early on Fridays to claim waterfront spots, particularly "lakeside spots at the Upper Reservoir near the big rocks," as M B. puts it. The reservoir supports fishing, kayaking, and swimming, and ATV activity is common on the water during busy periods. Deer and free-ranging cattle move through campsites regularly, so food storage matters. Designated sites with tables exist but sit farther back from the water.

Dispersed camping here is free, though not every flat patch that looks like a campsite is permitted for overnight use. Some hookup sites are available for RVs, with electric, water, and sewer connections. Wind can be a factor, and checking forecasts before arrival is worth the effort. Honeycomb Rocks Campground sits just under a mile northeast and gives campers a developed alternative with more structure, while Baker Dam Reservoir Campground offers another reservoir-based option farther southeast.

Peaceful hidden gem with unique rock formations

This place is a real hidden gem. You camp inside a forest of volcanic tuff rocks, which looks unique and cool. Sites are spacious and not crowded. Saw deer and dozens of cows wandering through– harmless but lock your food. The reservoir is great for fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Best part? It's completely free. At night, stars are incredible. No trash services, so pack in pack out. Arrive early Friday for lakeside spots. Will definitely return.

Plenty of camping spots that are very spacious. The park itself is 10/10

Pulled right into a perfect spot with privacy 👌🏿 plenty of room for at least 2 5th wheels. Didn't check out the bathroom, but indeed there is bathrooms. Beware of the animals!! Only seen about 4 deer my 2 days of camping but we seen probably 40+ cows throughout our whole stay. They're at your campsite and all the trails. I'll definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

Always remember folks if you bring it, you pack it out! Let's keep our camping spots clean so the next person can enjoy it as much as you did.

Great Spot!

Camping areas are spacious and spread out from other campers. The reservoir is nice. No fee, but not all spots that look like campsites are allowed for overnight camping.

Lakeside Dispersed Camping

We have camped here several times in our trailer over the past few months. Lakeside dispersed camping is competitive, so get there early on a Friday if you plan to be there over a weekend. There are also designated campsites with tables, but they are quite a bit farther from the lake. Lakeside spots at the Upper Reservoir near the big rocks usually go first. The lower reservoir is quieter and lakeside spots are easier to obtain. The scenery at the lower reservoir is not as nice, though we’ve had better luck fishing at the lower reservoir. The lake does get pretty busy with a fair amount of ATV activity and kayakers, which we don’t mind, but it may be an important point for others. No shade trees. No cell service. Check the weather before you go - it can get very windy. A nice getaway in Southern Utah if you are self-contained as you can camp right on the lake.
