Sitting within Dixie National Forest in southwestern Utah, Enterprise Reservoir Campground spreads across two reservoir sections, each with a distinct character. The upper reservoir draws the most attention, with lakeside dispersed spots among volcanic tuff rock formations filling fast on summer weekends. The lower reservoir sees less competition for waterfront sites, though reviewers note the surroundings there are less distinctive. No shade trees anywhere on the property, and cell service is essentially nonexistent, so plan accordingly.
Lakeside access drives most of the camping decisions here. Campers consistently report arriving early on Fridays to claim waterfront spots, particularly "lakeside spots at the Upper Reservoir near the big rocks," as M B. puts it. The reservoir supports fishing, kayaking, and swimming, and ATV activity is common on the water during busy periods. Deer and free-ranging cattle move through campsites regularly, so food storage matters. Designated sites with tables exist but sit farther back from the water.
Dispersed camping here is free, though not every flat patch that looks like a campsite is permitted for overnight use. Some hookup sites are available for RVs, with electric, water, and sewer connections. Wind can be a factor, and checking forecasts before arrival is worth the effort. Honeycomb Rocks Campground sits just under a mile northeast and gives campers a developed alternative with more structure, while Baker Dam Reservoir Campground offers another reservoir-based option farther southeast.
