BLM Dispersed off E. Buckhorn / UT-20 (Cedar City FO)

This BLM dispersed area sits in open high-desert terrain just off the E. Buckhorn turnout from UT-20, a couple of miles east of I-15 in the Bear Valley corridor between Panguitch and the interstate. Scattered ponderosa provide partial shade over numerous pullouts, most with fire rings and scavenged deadwood nearby. The access road can get soft and rutted after snowmelt, and some highway noise carries in from UT-20 — less so from I-15 — though it fades as the night settles.
