High-desert BLM land just west of Capitol Reef's boundary offers scattered pullouts along a rough unpaved road corridor near Torrey, with open sky and wind-scoured terrain that earns its character after dark. The road is passable for most high-clearance vehicles — a few wider spots can accommodate a small rig — but there's no turnaround, so the road runs through to Twin Rocks to the east. Cell signal is reliably present along this stretch.
