WOW
Needed a place for 13 weeks near Baltimore. This was the only place available. Could be nice,but... Most expensive site we've ever had, plus had to pay electric at almost double electric company rates. Had to allow others to drive through our site, plus had to drive through someone elses to get to ours. Completely unkept. Filthy laundry room. Half the toilets and showers out of order. Took about a month just to put up out of order signs on washer and dryer that at least 3 people brought to their attention. Won't allow you to receive mail or packages and claim it is a county rule. Just tell people you don't want to mess with their mail. Any time the power even flickered due to wind or rain (which was frequently) it would take about 8 hours for wifi to come back up. Had to walk up the hill to get any cell service. Got a call because we had Memorial Day flowers outside. We're told we couldn't have them in a pot and Needed to plant them in the ground. Was told water was shut off for routine sanitization, then noticed small signs behind restroom and at dog park about e. coli being in the well. Tried to give away firewood when leaving, but the guy didn't want it on his site because he might fail his site inspection. Using pressure regulator messes with the well pump and makes it pulsate. Their answer is don't use a regulator. Since we went 5 days over 3 months our going away gift was to be put on a daily rate of $76 so it cost almost $400 for the last few days. Every other place we've stayed just continues you at the same rate. "Oh, we can't do that," was the response. There is more, but I'll stop now. Would not stay here again.

Controlling
Merry Meadows is a neatly nestled into the trees. This can make it difficult for some people to navigate with big rigs. It's well taken care of for the most part, although I'm parked across from a camper that has 2-3 foot tall weeds all around it. You have to use a key card to get in and OUT. You can not have a motorcycle past the entry gate and u was told no golf carts because of insurance... what they mean is you can't have a golf cart unless you are seasonal and pay their fee for having it. Speaking of fees, everything costs extra! Your daily fee gets you a parking spot and access to the pool and pickleball/tennis courts. "THE HUB" is an activities center and it looks like everything has a fee. They even charged me $10 for early check-in. I'll be finding another campground next time I'm in the area.
Very large
Sites are private and large. They have a lot to do but half is only open on the weekends. Friendly staff
Nice place
Stayed a few times. It’s local so worth a quick weekend out. Most sites are decent although we obviously have our favorites and ones we won’t book. Activities schedules are a little hit or Miss for us. Maybe once Covid ends it’ll be better.

Great place easy in and out
Owners were very nice place was very clean. We wish we would have had more blocks so we could have leveled our camper a bit more, but that was our first time camping in this trailer
Nice family campground
Lots of activities available. We were in a secluded spot. Wifi and cable were poor on the weekend. Large campground with some good trails.
Will definitely return!
An old favorite
As you can tell by the title I’ve been coming to Mary Meadows for a very long time as a child I came with my grandparents they had a full-time spot in the chipmunk area. I recently spent three days over the Fourth of July holiday. This campground has lots to offer they have upgraded any of the activities such as miniature golf and the pool area looks great. Miss Lorraine at the front desk is friendly and helpful as are all the employees. I had trouble with my electric and Lenny the maintenance man was on the job within 15 minutes and had it fixed in the rain at that. Is plenty of tent camping and plenty of RV camping for as big as they get I would imagine. Many of the RV sites are wooded which makes it nice. The pool through RV sites are in the centerfield and kind of exposed to the elements but you are right across from the pool and right across from an amazing playground. I would highly recommend Mary Meadows for a couple and definitely for a family.
Lots of activities Nice folks
I was hesitant to book based upon a few recent reviews but glad we did because the campground was clean, tons of people but not crowded since there’s so much room. We were the only ones in the bathrooms each time we went. Everything was clean, staff kind and helpful. Activities were nicely planned out. Pool was clean. Golfing range was also really great. Our dog was welcomed. Will definitely be going back. This was our first trip with our camper ever and everyone was helpful
Owners are bullies
Kicked out for asking why no amenities were open. Was told they didn’t want “unhappy folks here”
Awful
The place is beautiful. They advertise all of their activities, none of which are ever open, including the pool. Owners are crazy, we got yelled at by the only staff member we could find (no one was ever really around, office was always closed, no one to contact) because we asked why the pool was closed because we interrupted her while working. Then she followed us back to our campsite and continued to scream at us in front of our kids, so naturally we told her how we felt about the situation and they kicked us out. The campers behind us said they kick people out all the time and that you have to walk on eggshells there just to be able to stay there in peace. They also said they’ve been there for a few months and everyone they’ve met said the owners/staff are crazy and rude. So many rules and fees.
Hidden Gem
Very nice campground with beautiful sites, clean facilities, and friendly staff! Wonderful place!
Nicest people
Stayed there this weekend Thursday through Sunday. Original reservation was Fri-Sun, but they were calling for 60 mph wind gusts Friday, and no one was in my spot so I went in a day ahead. Good thing, because the wind was crazy!! Power outage at a lot of the campground Friday night due to a tree down on the power lines. My section kept power, so I was happy. When I went to leave on Sunday, as I was driving up an incline my trailer became unhitched from my tow vehicle. The whole hitch came off and the trailer was dragging by the chains! The owners husband kindly helped me get it jacked up and gave me his trailer hitch pin. Nicest guy, he was so calming, and obviously I was pretty stressed out. I really loved my site and the trip was wonderful with the exception of this mishap. I would totally recommend this campground!!! A big shout out to Lenny! Thanks Lenny!

Wonderful Easter
We stayed here this past Easter and they had plenty of activities for kids and adults. Easter egg hunts for kids, adult scavenger hunts for alcohol. Wonderful experience for the whole family.

We had a great time
Good campground with a good amount of activities for the kids. Bathrooms didn’t have a lot of water pressure in the showers, but overall were cleaner then expected. We had a great time, and plan to visit here again.

Nice and dated
It was probably an amazing park 30 years ago. The creek was really nice. Sites were good size and ours had a patio. Had a fair amount of amenities for kids.
Quiet Family Fun
What a wonderful place! The resort is spacious, scattered throughout the woods. The RV sites are comfortable with all the amenities. And the customer service is impeccable.
We stayed during a few weekdays in October and we almost had the whole place to ourselves. We stayed in one of the cabins, which had 2 beds and a bunk bed, sink and toilet, refrigerator, microwave, dining table and sofa. There was also a front porch with picnic table and fire pit.
Honestly, the beds were not very comfortable and way too small for a couple to sleep in one. It was a VERY dark walk to get to the bathhouse for showers. And the fire pit had no grill, so we ended up having to use the stoves of some RV camping friends for meals. Otherwise the stay was great.
I would strongly recommend camping there in the summer months or during weekends in the shoulder season if you have social kids like mine. There were tons of things to do there for adults and kids alike. The activities — such as putt-putt, jump zone and the playground ended up being kinda boring for them without others to share it with. Obviously that would change with crowds. And advance reservations are a must — this place books up fast!
I would highly recommend staying at Merry Meadows, especially if you have an RV and a group of friends to join you!
