Second Crossing (2nd-Xng) Camp

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Riverside sites with full hookups and Guadalupe River access define the experience at Second Crossing (2nd-Xng) Camp, a family-owned property outside New Braunfels drawing repeat visitors season after season. Sites sit close enough to the water that anglers can reach the river in a handful of steps. The campground runs the full hookup range: 30/50 amp electric, water, and sewer connections, along with WiFi, showers, and a dump station.

The on-site store stocks firewood, food items, beverages, and toiletries, which means campers can arrive without loading up on supplies beforehand. A fenced dog park, fire pits, picnic tables, and string lights come standard with the sites. Reviewers note the campground draws a lot of returning guests, particularly during weekdays when things quiet down considerably. Kayaking and tubing are popular activities on the Guadalupe, and the river shallows work well for kids. The campground allows pets, and reservations are available.

M M. calls it a "clean excellent place for the kids to play in the river," which lines up with the consistent praise across reviews for site maintenance. Nightly rates run $75 to $90. Nearby options along the same stretch of river include Roy's Rentals & Campgrounds and Son's Guadalupe. Second Crossing makes the most sense for families and anglers who want water-front access paired with full RV hookups.

Beautiful, quiet, and fun

We stayed two nights at this campground.  The spots are right on the water, like I can walk 10 steps and throw a fishing line.

The store has everything a camper might need.  There is firewood for 5 bucks a bag, the staff doesn't mess with people, and it felt safe here.

I'll be coming back for sure.   What a wonderful experience.
