Peacock Pond sits within Mineola Nature Preserve on the Sabine River, a city-managed natural area in East Texas that threads along the Sabine River corridor. Access is hike-in only. Reservations are available, and pets are permitted. Campers wanting a nearby alternative can consider Greer Hill - Mineola Nature Preserve Campground C, roughly 0.2 miles northeast, or Canoe Launch - Mineola Nature Preserve Campground E to the south.
