This is a nice little city park, right next to the water. They welcome overnight campers. It’s close to town for food and supplies and right off of I-10.
This camping spot is awesome! It’s FREE and right next to the water. There are restrooms available 24/7 and plenty of camp sites / picnic tables and grills. To top it off, there’s a disc golf course here! As well as a basket ball court, volleyball court I think, and a playground for kids. Overall great free spot if you’re passing through. Highly recommend. Police patrol though the night as well.
The park people answer the phones, they are helpful. It's good to know you can ask questions and get answers on the spot. It's a nice camp next to river, you can hear it. Spring peepers and running water. Annnnd, Interstate 10. But, free and fish and relax. Vibe is ok so far.
