Description

Primitive, Hammock, Tent camping, and small campers (16ft and under only, WITH NO HOOKUPS) at its absolute best!

Great riverfront campsites as well as more secluded wooded sites just a short walk away from the riverfront. Howlin' Hill has the best riverfront beach access on this stretch of the gorgeous Duck River. Most of our campsites are shaded by a continuous tree canopy and each site is equipped with a fire pit. We have firewood for sale near the check-in station. Early summertime offers an amazing light show performed by thousands of lightning bugs. Portables and spring fed showers are provided within walking distance from your site.

Located just 8 miles from Chapel Hill and Henry Horton State Park, our campgrounds can be reached in under an hour from many of Middle Tennessee’s more urban areas, including Nashville, Murfreesboro, Smyrna, Mt. Juliet, Spring Hill, and Columbia, just to name a few.

Duck Canoe (931-364-2969), also located near the check-in station, offers a 2.5 mile and a 5 mile float. The end point is right on Howlin' Hill Campground beach. This completely eliminates your need for driving to or from your float. When your float is complete, you are right back at your site!

Experience some good ol’ southern hospitality! We’ll see y’all soon!!

Very hostile people running the campground

I messaged them for instructions on a cookout at their campground after we finished a river float. I was told it would be a day pass and I could leave the money in an envelope they provide and slip it in the window. The campground seemed to have forgotten our conversation. We were rudely asked what we were doing after we had been there a while. I had spoken to her Thursday. She had explained price and payment. I had to see how many would come before I could figure the amount to leave. I don’t know what more I was supposed to do. They were drunk and threatening to a group ranging from 2-70.

This family goes to establishments and tries to start fights purposely. What was stated above is not what happened. They start fights hoping someone will hit them so they can try and sue. They came there with intentions to be trouble. This family is band from Howlin HIll.

Overnight quick get away

From what I could see it’s secluded for tents had bathrooms and trails. And fire places close to campsites !
