Description
At the southern edge of Badlands National Park near the Interior entrance, this roadside pullout off SD Highway 240 sits where open prairie meets the park boundary — close enough to take in the silhouetted ridgeline at dusk and the full spread of stars after dark. The gravel shoulder holds around four vehicles, traffic is minimal overnight, and a 30-foot Class C has overnighted here without difficulty. Land status at the precise boundary is uncertain; campers have not encountered any no-camping signage or ranger contact, but prospective visitors should verify current rules with the NPS Interior District before staying.
