Clean bathrooms, clean sites, amazing views, and wonderfully kind people that work here. I could not ask for much more. It is a little pricey to stay here just for a night but well worth it if you are a wesry traveler. 1000% recommend this campground.
This KOA just north of the Iowa border is first class. ! Friendly staff and perfect for kiddos. The pool and adventure area are right up your alley if traveling with kids.
Great staff and extremely clean Campground. Pull through sites. Clean lake with boating. Private lake so no fishing license required.
This is a nice, quiet campground. We enjoyed river fishing while we were here. There is a swimming beach just a short drive away too. Some lots are nice sized. Others seemed a little tight. They are electric only.

It is really obvious that these folks put a lot of thought and effort into this park. Big lake for swimming and fishing. Concrete pads and nice new picnic tables. We were greater by an awesome host who gave us some welcome gifts. Keep in mind, this is an RV park, not a campground. Sites are…
Nicely maintained, beautiful lake, clean restrooms and nice pool and playground. Great helpful people! But virtually no space between sites.
This campground is very spacious with nice trails to walk/bike. The lots are electric only, but are nicely spaced. There are fishing docks, and a swim beach. It has a basketball court, a soccer area, and some playground equipment for the kids. We camped at site 63, West Midway.

Tried this place one time last year (first time rv camping and first koa experience). We had never been to this place and were yelled at on multiple occasions on the first day for supposed "campground rule" violations that weren't posted. The owners, rather than approach us and calmly speak to us,…
Great camping. More of a family destination than anything else. But early season is great for solo travelers. Plenty to do for sure.
A lot of places in Iowa are closed to camping until April or even May. I looked west and quickly found this. There are areas of the park that are "closed for winter", but I was able to find a primitive spot for an overnight to get out and enjoy the rebound from the subzero weather of the previous…
Well kept grounds friendly staff.
We stayed here originally planning on one night that morphed into three due to weather. It worked out perfectly, we had full hookups even in freezing weather, and access to laundry, bathrooms, and a playground. Located just outside of town, we felt very comfortable even in inclimate weather.
We were impressed with how full the camp ground was in mid October yet how quiet and peaceful it was too. Lots of space between sites. Very clean restrooms. Close to everything on both side of the lake.
We just got our pop up and took it out to Chief White Crane. The spots were pretty large and very clean. We have two small children and the open space was great for them. The bathrooms were always clean and the park was great for the kiddos!

I stopped by here at this site. And honestly I was not really all the impressed. I will say they do have some kind of security. Because I was not in the park long trying to visit a friend. Before I was approached and asked for a park pass. They do have a swimming pool on premises. But the…
