Hilton Head Harbor

Booked for our class A and our Froends Travel trailer. Got refused for the travel trailer having a small slide. Our big class a has slides on both sides and was ok. We only got half of the booking fee back for the refused admission. They kept over 200$ and were horribly rude to our friends. This used to be a nice kept place with welcoming staff. We had been here many times over the last years. Horrible and humiliating experience. We will never return ever! Tired ameneties, potholed in the street and hostile staff. Their reception is not even staffed anymore. I guess thry are not planning on having many transient guests anyhow. Up the road you get a newer, pristine campground with fantastic ameneties like a gorgeous ressort pool, including a lazy river, dog run, hiking trail, live music, kids activities and super friendly very attentive staff. I wish I had booked there in the first place. We will never go back to Hilton Head Marina.

Of the three campgrounds on/near Hilton Head we’ve stayed in, this one is a distant third. It’s ok. A little tired. Super unfriendly in the restaurant. Location is pretty since it’s on the water. Good proximity to everything.

HIlton Head Harbour is one of two nicer big rig campgrounds on HHI. In my opinion it’s the better of the two. It is set on a beautiful working marina and has a very coastal Carolina feel. Nicely landscaped and quiet. Lots of water views and a great restaurant next door. Wi-fi was great as well. Staff were friendly. Nice concrete pads at all sites. we paid extra for a waterfront site and it was fantastic. Lots of friendly lot owners as well as some lots have been sold permanently. I will be going back again and again!
