Such a beautiful destination for tourists, travelers, & beach goers....Talk about being right on the water with access to excellent swimming. Such a lovely vantage point with your tent location from the top of FORT GETTY. Who knew??? Mackerel Cove is awesome....beach, beach, beach.... Bathrooms are ok. Such a hidden gem on the wonderful island of Jamestown!!!! Bring your tent....

No shade no rule enforcement. Great place for a big group to party if that’s what you want.

Loud campers in large groups.

Rules regarding quiet hours, no generators, number of tents per site and late arrival and setups were not enforced.

People next to us crammed 8 tents on 3 sites. I counted a group of at least 20.

There is no privacy, people were constantly walking through our site and stepping over our tent guy lines.

People partied until 2:00am and woke up at 5:30am shining headlights and idling cars.

Bathrooms were dirty, sites boundaries not marked and crammed together. No shade.

Beautiful location, rangers were nice.

RV folks were surly, seemed like a lot of them stay there for the entire season. One said hi, the rest stared when we drove by.

We booked and paid for two nights and left first thing after just one night.

Tent campers

Perfect location for a summer / beach camp. Mostly for RVs but tent site #6 was great. Views of the ocean to wake up too and tucked away from main area.

Worst part is you can’t bring your car on the site. Do not understand this, especially since it was over 95° and we have dogs that need AC, one if which is 14. We did sneak the car up by asking an RV camper to use his land because they block off the entrance with giant tree trunks.

More good stuff, the private pet friendly beaches were great! Small but perfect to relax. No problems with the pets at all and old but clean bathrooms.

austere and a bit noisy - beautiful setting

great location in Narragansett bay but both times we've camped here, there have been big party groups who kept us all up talking really really loudly and making noise till past 2 am. they would quiet down then someone would start making noise and sleep for the night was a pipe dream crossing off the go list despite loving the island and simplicity of the campground

Very loud

Loud music, bright lights until 3am. Zero enforcement of 10pm curfew in sites 16 and above. Complaints to guard only got softer music. Their lights lit up our tent.
