Point Campground

Managed by the Army Corps of Engineers, Point Campground sits at the tip of a peninsula jutting into Raystown Lake, within the Raystown Recreation Area. The layout includes both waterfront and interior sites, with the ridge loop positioned back from the water but still within reach of the lake and its activity. Sites run large and wooded, and campers consistently note the sense of privacy even when the campground is at capacity.

Water access is a defining feature here. The campground draws boaters, and the lake views from waterfront sites face open water with boat traffic visible throughout the day. Kristen H. describes it as "right on the tip of the Raystown peninsula," which captures the exposure to the lake that sets these sites apart. Mountain biking is also well-established within the campground grounds, and pop-up campers have found the sites workable. Electric and water hookups are available, along with showers and a dump station.

One practical note: sites are terraced on slopes, and the walk to the bathrooms involves a steep incline. Campers with mobility concerns should confirm site specifics when booking.
