Nice campground very quiet and sites feel decently secluded from each other. Bathrooms were clean and the showers were warm.
Has pit toilets and potable water. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table smaller more secluded campground.
Fish creek is a smaller campground area but it’s nice that you reserve a site ahead of time. Some sites have almost direct access to the lake.
When a national park bathroom has running water it’s an automatic win. Nice sites it can be hard to get a site so plan accordingly.
Standard KOA Kabin with no water just a room with beds. The space heater worked great when we stayed there. Bathrooms and showers available as always. Close to town.
The tents sites are along side the busy road so it got pretty noisy. But there is an amazing Mexican restaurant right next to the campground.
Seems more like an rv park than a campground. Someone let there dog pee at our site as we were pulling up and it backs up to apartments. Never again.
It’s nice except for the fact it backs up to a literal junk yard. The showers are great and the staff were amazing but meh. But it’s close to the falls and you can take a drive to balanced rock.
Great place to camp to ensure you have early access to the recreation sites. Close to thors well, the overlooks and devils churn.
I’ve stayed here twice and have had really good experiences each time. Showers could be cosmetically upgraded but other than that lots to do in the area.
Lots of noise since it’s off the highway. Has running water and bathrooms at least.
It’s a nice KOA but my tent site was right next to the playground so I had kids running through my site and touching my truck. But they had a dollar rib night so that was great and the staff was really nice the whole time.
Very windy but if you’re inside a hard vehicle it’s not too bad. Flushing toilets and water available. Nice to walk around in and amazing views at sunset.
Small campground hosts/owners are very nice people. Bathrooms, water, and showers available. It’s a little windy but good place to stop and rest for the night.
The rock creek area offers many places to camp both dispersed and paid. Some of the best bull trout in the country. No wonder is a blue ribbon trout stream!
The friends of rock creek work really hard to keep this gem looking good. No running water but you have a full home rich with history and a pit toilet that’s well maintained.
It gets really flooded out in the spring time. Some times half the site is closed for a while into the season until it dries up. Good place to launch your boat though and when it is open it’s great.
I think west fork butte is one of the coolest locations to stay at if you can get a reservation. No running water but there’s a wood stove with plenty of firewood and a pit toilet. It can be a bit of a spooky walk down at night but an amazing view at sunrise.
Smaller forest service campground has water spigots but no flushing toilets. But the pit toilets were some of the cleanest I’ve encountered. The Lolo has some of the cleanest toilets in the system.
