Mountain bikers and hikers find direct trail access from Creekside Sisters City Park, where paths lead into the surrounding forest system without requiring a drive to trailheads. The campground sits on the west edge of Sisters along US Highway 20, with a creek running along one side and open spaces extending toward the back. Sites cluster under tall ponderosa pines that provide shade throughout most of the day.
Highway noise carries through the campground, though traffic slows considerably through town and settles down late at night. Sites are positioned close together, particularly side-to-side, which works better for smaller RVs and trailers. Pops A. notes "really big rigs may have trouble here" due to the serpentine road layout and tight spacing. The campground provides full hookups for RVs, including electric, water, and sewer connections.
Renovated shower facilities require quarters for operation, with most campers spending $3-4 for an adequate wash according to the camp host. Showers operate from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily. Free WiFi reaches throughout the campground with consistent signal strength. Large utility sinks outside the bathrooms handle dish washing, and a dump station serves both guests and travelers passing through. The friendly camp host expects check-in before setup, even for prepaid reservations.
Walking or biking to downtown Sisters takes just a few minutes from the campground. Sprinklers activate between 11pm and 1am, covering the main bathroom path and one bike trail, though alternate routes exist. The season runs from April through November, with reservations available for the $25-55 nightly rate. Check for last-minute cancellations even when the campground appears full online, as no-shows create unexpected availability.
