Great Campground in NorCal

This is a really nice and clean campground. Trees everywhere and Smith river access is minutes away. Campground has all the things needed to make your stay great. Clean bathrooms, lots of space, picnic table and fire pit.

Bring blankets, it gets pretty cool overnight especially since trees keep area shaded and the river is so close. No WiFi and cell service is spotty as best.

Good place to camp by the lake.

Tent camped at Bolan Lake on Saturday, not a lot of people here which was nice. Sites have fire pit and tables, clean space to pitch tents or use rooftop tent. No WiFi or cell reception. This weekend was hot, close to 110 and being at lake was perfect. If you want peace and quiet, water access and blooming flowers with trees, this is a good spot.

It’s a pretty long dirt road to get to the campground, make sure you have good tires that can handed rocks/dirt terrain.

Have an RV? This is the spot!

If you have an RV, this is the perfect spot to stay. It’s super close to the casino, truck stop convenience store, it’s clean, and has all the things you need. WiFi and cellular services since it’s right off I-5.

No complaints and I would stay here again :)

Solid Campground

Howard Prairie is a pretty solid place to camp at. The camp sites are great, they have all things you need and are clean. Good bathrooms and lake access.

The reason I say it’s “solid” and not great is because the lake is kinda muddy, store is closed due to Covid as well as the boat ramp, and water is really low. Now I know Covid and water level isn’t the campgrounds fault but I don’t want to rate it higher than it is.

This place would definitely be rated higher if the above items weren’t present but if you’re looking for a good place to camp that has water, this is a good choice but there are better not too far away.

Stunning Views!

Gorgeous views and hiking trails galore! I don’t think I’ve camped at a place that is as beautiful scenery as Big Lake Campground. Campground has all the necessities: there are vault toilets, fire pits, tables, and drinking water. No cell service of course and lake is very close.

Lots of space and highly recommend!

Camping by the Lake!

Camped at Poole Creek Campground and had a great experience. Lake is good for swimming, camp site has lots of room, and lots of trees for shade which was nice since it was like 102!

If your bringing a boat, there is a boat ramp, bathrooms are available, and there is no cell service. Really nice and affordable at $15 for tent site.

Good place to stay and play if your traveling through to check out all the waters falls.

Great Campground

Stayed overnight on 8/2, campground has everything you need: clean restrooms (shower closed), table, fire pit, flat ground, and very close access to Crater Lake rim. This is first time I’ve been to campground that had a bear box, not sure if that’s a good or bad thing but we had no beats this night lol No cell service and we did a sunset hike at the rim. Definitely recommend this campground but it gets cool at night because of elevation.

Great camping spot by lake!

Stayed at campsites 10 and 11 which had plenty of space, table and fire pit. Very close to restrooms which are clean. Lake access is a 5-7 min walk away so it’s very close. Campground is shaded so it helps with the sun and water slides (weren’t open) are maybe a 10 min walk away. RV camping is across the lake so no big rigs in this are which was nice.

Small campground but really nice!

Limberlost is a great alternative if you can’t get into Paradise Campground. Limberlost is small but clean having all the basics you need. No cell service with Verizon and this campground is super close to Proxy Falls trailhead that has a beautiful waterfall.

Great Campground!

Site 17 is perfect and has river access in the back! Campground is clean, bathrooms are clean, the host is really cool. Side had clean Punic table and fire pit. You can buy wood on site and I got cellular reception with Verizon in random areas.

Highly recommend this place and I included a video of the back of site 17 :)

Beat place on West Maui to camp!

Stayed here during the week and this is absolute best place to camp. Has cell reception, bathrooms, showers, ocean access, and overall great campground. I did a camp site which is in dirt which kinda sucks but that’s is only complaint but won’t rate it down for this. Food and drink access is close by too!

Go ahead and pass on this one..

The good: it’s close to the river and the town of Rogue River. Oh and it’s cheap! The bad: it’s dirty(not well maintained grounds wise), mostly packed with RVs, and it’s small.

Awesome place!

This is a great place to stay that has all you could need! Cell reception, WiFi, pool, hot tub, Ashland is like 5 minutes away, restrooms, even a sauna! Clothing is optional in the pool area let at night so be aware if you’re not into that or have kids. tent sites aren’t separated meaning you pitch your tent in an area where everyone else does. Other than that, I Highly recommend!

Pretty nice place

Campground is really nice and sits across from the RV section more or less. Clean bathrooms, BBQ stoves, lots of space and green grass. Come here during summer and you can even go down the water slides which is like a 5 min walk away. Cell phone service is spotty with ATT. Lake is beautiful and is pretty much right in front of you. Definitely recommend!

Standard Issue :)

Your basic campground and RV park. Has everything you need, close to stores, and you have cell phone service. Cost is really low.

Great place to stay!

This is a great place to stay! Has everything you need even a cell phone signal but that can be spotty at times. There is a little store and restaurant that has basic items and really good pizza!

Great Place!

We stayed at spot #20 and it was great! Campground is clean, has showers, restrooms, dish sink cleaning, cell service, and is table/fire pit. No mosquitos! Definitely coming back in future!

Eating me Alive!

This camp ground is clean, has showers/bathrooms and lots of space. Access to the lake is super close too! The only bad thing about this whole area is the mosquitos that are everywhere at dusk and dawn. Bring repellent as at one point my wife counted 22 mosquitos on my back! I know insects can’t be prevented but this is only reason why this doesn’t get five stars. We stayed at B3 tent area :)

Perfect spot to camp!

Multiple bathrooms, clean spaces with plenty of space, a shower, beautiful lake, and cell phone service! Went over the weekend and they have free live music at the lodge! Family and pet friendly really doesn’t get any better than this for $25 a night.

Great location!

Clean, easy access, river close by, and have everything you need. Right off I-5 and close to town of Rogue River if you need food or supplies.
