Paul Dennis (Olallie) Campground sits within Mt. Hood National Forest at the edge of Olallie Lake, operating on a short summer window from July through October. RVs are limited to 16 feet, and the only on-site amenity is a toilet. The lake and nearby river give the site its primary character. Campers planning a stay can also look at tent campgrounds near Mt. Hood National Forest or the adjacent Olallie Lake Resort for additional lodging options in the same area. Pack in everything you need; services are not available on-site.
Description
Paul Dennis Campground is located on the north shore of Olallie Lake. Hiking, fishing, and canoeing are popular activities here. High elevation snow limits access into the Olallie Lake area until June in most seasons. Located on Olallie Lake in the Olallie Lake Scenic Area. Directions
From Estacada, OR - drive south on Highway 224 for 45 miles. The road becomes Forest Service Road 46. From Road 46, turn east onto Forest Service Road 4690 and drive 6 miles on pavement, then about 3 miles on gravel, to a junction with Forest Road 4220. Turn south and continue 4 miles to Olallie Lake Resort. Turn left at the resort and continue past the resort buildings to Paul Dennis Campground. The roads are closed in the winter.
