Forest Service roads lead to Lee Thomas Campground, an established site within Fremont National Forest that operates from June through October. The campground sits in mixed terrain combining forested areas with open spaces near a river, providing both shaded and sunny camping spots. Sites accommodate various camping styles, from tent setups under tree cover to RV parking in more open areas.
The river proximity offers water access for campers interested in fishing or cooling off during warmer months. Several nearby options include Sandhill Crossing just over two miles west for those preferring different amenities.
