Forest Service roads lead to Coolwater Campground, where sites spread through Douglas fir and cedar trees along the North Umpqua River. The campground operates from May through October and accommodates RVs up to 24 feet in length. Sites sit within the managed boundaries of Umpqua National Forest, providing direct river access for fishing and water activities.
The forested setting filters sunlight through tall conifers, while the river creates ambient sound throughout the camping area.
