BLM Susan Creek Recreation Site sits along the North Umpqua River in Oregon's BLM-managed lands, operating from mid-April through late October. The campground features paved sites with minimal leveling required, according to recent campers. Hot showers come at no additional cost, housed in clean bathhouses that visitors consistently praise.
Sites along the river include numbers 22, 24, 25, and 34, with some offering direct trail access to the water. The 2020 fire damaged surrounding areas and closed certain trail sections, though the campground itself sustained little impact. Campers can walk to Susan Creek Falls via a short trailhead across from the day-use area. Road noise remains minimal, particularly at night. The site works well for RV campers who don't need hookups, as water spigots serve most sites.
