Hikers accessing the Mount Hebo trail system can park directly at site 14, just east of the trailhead. The site has flat ground, a fire pit, and cell service, with drive-in access via roads that one reviewer described as well-maintained. It's free. The main drawback on record is cleanliness: a 2025 visit found scattered trash and bagged waste left by previous campers. Campers who want nearby alternatives can browse campsites near Siuslaw National Forest or consider Hebo Lake Campground, roughly half a mile north. This site makes the most sense for self-sufficient hikers comfortable with dispersed, pack-it-out conditions.
