Rustic and simple

I LOVE camping here, unlike a lot of camp grounds they're actually within the woods so you feel like you're actually part of the forest and the nature. It's a simple place, they have showers and restrooms. The hiking trails are scenic and pretty and the lake while not overly big, is clean and great for swimming(there's a beach) , kayaking, and fishing. They have plenty of crappie, bass, and catfish stocked in the lake and there are bait shops close by.

Over all it is a very relaxing place to camp and cheaper than most other places even for a camper hook up.

Awesome place

Great little camp ground. Quiet, clean, and affordable. Most of the trails and caves are only seconds away.

Nice park, but tent sites are a joke

The camp site we reserved wasn’t where it wasn’t indicated on the map. It had no fire ring or picnic table and the person in the site next to our site had his tent in our site because his site had a bunch of trees in his and where his tent should have gone the people in the next site had put their tent there… Campsites had no borders so there was no telling where one was compared to the next. The center section the sites were basically all on top of each other. There were ton of kids playing throughout (no problem with the kids) but because there was definition between sites they would come running through our site. We have a dog so we worried about the kids getting tripped by the dogs rope and just coming over to visit the our dog.

Also since the sites were so close to each other, it was great to be able to hear the neighbors get falling down drunk, make x-rated prank phone calls and try to fight each other. Very entertaining

Small Site, Good Hiking

Lake Hope was super crowded and the sites felt like they were literally on top of each other. It also was not super clear on which site was which. Our site was on a hill, but there were 2 sites, one at the bottom and one midway down so we had to ask. Luckily both were not booked and they let us use whichever we wanted, so we picked the bottom of the hill.

There were plenty of hiking trails and at the lake you can rent kayaks for the day!

Peaceful!

It’s such a peaceful place to visit. Kids can play without worry.

Great spot and easy to find!

With that being said, there was good and bad. The good was I found a spot quickly and had 2 entire ponds to myself. The bad was locals firing guns for the hell of it for an hour straight and the trash left behind from the previous campers. Once night fall hit everything was quiet so I couldn't complain too much. Awesome morning sunrise!

Nice park off the beaten path

We have stayed here a couple of times in a tent and a class a motor home.

The campground is pretty secluded but beautiful rolling hills.    While the site we stayed in with the motorhome was fairly level, sites are mostly small and tight on hilly terrain.  That said, I would still recommend this as a nice weekend getaway

One of our visits was during hunting season and both the campground and the cabins were mostly being used by hunting parties.

This is also close enough in proximately to serve as an alternative camping area for visiting Hocking Hills

Lovely in Spring

Our Spring time excursion at Beech Fork was delightful. All of the cherry trees and foliage are full in bloom and lovely. The lake was lower but it was still nice. The bath houses were impressively clean. They have a nice Park Head quarters with a general store that has grocery items, firewood, and cool souvenirs. There was even a retro arcade with games, air hockey and claw machines which the kids enjoyed. Extremely nice paved walking trails, parks, playgrounds, basketball court and pool (which wasnt open yet). Overall, the area eas clean, well maintained, easily accessible and still fully immersed in nature. We camped in our Jeep liberty and had a blast. We will definitely be back in summer to swim. Plenty of launch points for a boat or kayak if you have one.

Secluded

Campground was well maintained, even the pit toilets. Our campsite was huge #46. But some sites seemed very small. It’s a short drive to the lake house for the beach and boat rental. The food at the Lodge is delicious! The drive to get there was rough. Don’t count on GPS. Look it up and plan it out before you go.

Very cozy/clean RV & camper site

The folks that run this RV park are very nice and obviously have a lot of pride in their place. Valley Breezy is very well kept and clean. Good amenities- electric/sewer/water hookup. Pets allowed (on-leash).
