Deer's Leap Winery

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Pulling a teardrop or small rig off I-90 and into a winery parking lot is exactly what Deer's Leap Winery amounts to, and it delivers on that premise reliably. Located roughly a quarter mile from the interstate in Madison, Ohio, the site has no formal amenities, but grocery stores and gas stations are close by. Calling ahead is strongly recommended, as access depends on winery permission. If you arrive while the winery is open, dinner and wine are available on-site. It is free, pets are allowed, and cell service is listed. Campers planning a longer stay in the area can explore camping near Madison for more developed options.

Long road trip stop over

Call the winery ahead and ask if you can park in their lot - both times they have been more than happy to let us. It's a long drive from Colorado to New Hampshire and this is right off of I90 about 1/4 of a mile, with grocery and gas just down the road.

No amenities but if you get in when they are open, dinner and good wine and smiling faces. And can't beat free.

Pulled our teardrop right into the lot and made camp for the night. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it's not actual camping - but it's great for what it is and they are super kind and generous.
